Any idea why the lamp was invented? Well, about a century ago the streets of villages and towns used to be lit at night with tiny fires that resembled torches. These had a sackcloth that was soaked in oil and it was wrapped around old, dried pieces of wood. The ‘night lighter’ was appointed in each community to keep the street lamps lit after dark to provide a means to see at night and to expose thieves. Soon homes required indoor lighting and fires in the center of the home were not practical. This is why lamps were invented. Well, at least that’s our story.
At MustHaveStuff we have found what we consider to be the coolest lamps you will ever set your eyes on. We’ve decided to feature each of them here. Need to find your way in the dark? No problem. One of these lamps will keep you out from getting lost under the shade!
Nuclear Explosion Lamp
When you said that your special someone really lit up your life, we’re pretty sure you didn’t mean anything quite like this. However, on the offhand chance you did, it’s good to know that when you have a Nuclear Explosion Lamp on display it gets some extra attention. In fact, it’s a little bit freaky just how much attention such a lighting device can produce. There is an important thing to remember. As bright as the future may appear, you don’t need is some jerk with his finger on the button to turn that completely around and into a blast!
Mushrooms Night Light
Need some light that isn’t going to blind you but will illuminate whatever you need to see? You have a great option with this Glowing Mushrooms Lamp. It glimmers and glows and shows you the way. We were going to say something like, glows and lights your path light regular mushrooms do but in actual fact, mushrooms do not light up. This may be a disturbing thing to learn but there is no such thing as an LED light in a mushroom. Well, unless you are strictly talking about these lamps and then you’d be right. Otherwise, they don’t light up.
Turtle Star Projector Lamp
Who can’t resist a turtle with lights coming out of its back? We know that we can’t. This Turtle Star Projector Lamp is specially designed to calm and relax you. All you do is plug it in, turn it on and watch the walls and ceiling get transformed into a stunning display of the night sky. There are different color schemes to choose from and the timer will shut it off after 45-minutes. Oh, and this is also a great idea for your child’s nursery. The cute turtle is the focal point but what comes out of its back is truly magical and stunning. You need one of these today!
Wooden Folding Book Light
We had this problem that dates back several years. It had to do with a crazy dream that eventually graduated to nightmare. It revolved around a Wooden Folding Book Light. We can’t explain that part at all. It’s just the way it goes in Dreamland. Not everything makes sense and the things that do, don’t really after awhile. It’s almost as if there is a blockage of some kind that halts the dream details from getting through. But as a book light, you can’t go wrong with this one. It gives you a new way to read at night without waking others up.
Levitating Moon Lamp
There’s a lot of magic in the Moon. There also happens to be a fair deal of it in this Levitating Moon Lamp. It has been designed with the help of a 3D printer which is responsible for all the extreme detailed of the moon landscape. You could almost imagine being there minus the lack of oxygen and gravity. Speaking of gravity, this lamp defies it as it actually levitates. You read that correctly. This lamp, which looks far too much light the Moon, will float. It is supposed to resemble the Moon in the sky and the designers nailed it. They totally captured that!
Magnetic Balance Lamp
The next time someone says you appear a bit off balance, you can show them this. It’s a Magnetic Balance Lamp that uses magnetic force fields to stay upright. You could say it’s sort of high tech, but not really. That’s because it is actually making good use of old technology. Yes, long before the internet and chemical filled candy things used to work differently. Magnets were the video game of its day. You could push and pull things around with magnets. Nowadays brute force is usually the way things get done. That is, in our opinion, a bit off balance.
Exploding IKEA Lamp
If we had to choose a lamp that would not only light our way but would leave an impact, this would be it. There’s nothing more powerful than the view of a lamp that resembles an explosion. In fact, when you take into account the number of explosions in the average action movie, you start to see a pattern. For our money, we’d wager on the blast that looks so real that when it is printed on a lampshade you stop and stare. This just happens to be that lamp. It made us gawk at it for several minutes the first time we saw it. Seriously, it actually did.
